General Anesthesia

The Lariano Stomatology clinic provides a general anaesthesia service including surgery under anaesthesia and daytime or post-surgical hospitality with specialized nursing and emergency medical care.

If required, the provision of any healthcare materials and medicines as well as any diagnostic tests or laboratory examinations, are guaranteed.

General anaesthesia guarantees the maximum protection of airways through endotracheal intubation and therefore the impossibility of inhaling any blood or fluids.

Artificial ventilation with positive pressure allows the maintenance of a normal physiological respiratory equilibrium: it is also possible to perform full anaesthesia in controlled hypotension with reduced bleeding and better agility in the operating theatre.

For the dentist, therefore, general anaesthesia is usually the most appropriate technique for longer and more demanding operations such as inserting implants with fixed teeth in both the jawbones. It is also the most suitable for inserting, in a single session, zigomatic implants and dental restorations in patients who are non-cooperative, disabled or Odontophobic or with non-collaborative adolescents. At the end of surgery, the patient has no memory of the operation.
