Home whitening treatment

(whitening treatment can’t be done on patients affected by periodontal diseases, pyorrhea, gingivitis before an adeguate treatment)

Time required: 

Complet treatment : 30MINS

Hygiene session and desensitizing treatment: 40mins(2/3 days before)

Employed materials:

• whitener, containing hydrogen peroxide or carbamide with different gradients : _7,5% _10% _16% _22%
• color scale
• alginate

*DESENSITIZING TREATMENT is done in order to avoid problems to patients. It should be done before the treatment, even more than once if required)

 Before doing a whitening treatment, some points most be checked . Every patient is different, with different dentinal and enamel characteristics. Take some pictures when necessary.

Previous hygiene and desensitizing are required, to remove any plaque , tartar or stain and take a dental cast.

Use a color scale to individuate enamel’s color and verify the results later.

Explain what has to be done later at home.

Make sure patients understand the quantity of whitener that has to be employed.

At the end of the session, tell the patient what to do later.

 Results will be evident after 5 days..

• dental mask
• whitening treatment

Ps. For better service a whitening toothpast should be given too.

Ps. Patients should be checcked during and after the treatment, taking also some picture.
