Protocol for seals

Time required: 30 mins.

Employed Materials:

  • scaling resin
  • cotton rolls
  • resin for composite
  • mordant
  • throwaway needles
  • brush
  • explorer or small ball
  • cutter with small flame (to remove any eventual cari, and to avoid a waste of work)
  • oval cutter
  • micromotore ad anello blu
  • micromotore ad anello rosso o turbina
  • articulation paper
  •  photopolymer lamp
  • rubber for polishing
  • polish(nupro)

Before scaling , remove any tartar or plaque with a rubber for polishing . If caries are present, the doctor will remove them with a cutter and verify they are not to deep. Isolate the needed part of the mouth with cotton rools and aspire saliva. Dry up the zone and mordant it for 30 secs . Remove it and dry up again . Strew the resin with a brush, take it avay from where it is not needed and use photopolymer lamp for 30secs.

Use an explorer top ut sealing resin on as needed ,now chech the height of the work and eventually remove some resin when excessive, sealings can be done whenever there are permanent teeth.

Sealings avoid formation of caries in sulcus , but not in contact points, in vestibule side ,in palate side or in lingual side .
